Where we are in the Pacific

Established in the region in 1990

Given the splendour of this region, WWF has been working since 1990 with the governments and peoples of the Pacific on conservation and natural resource management programmes and projects.

The WWF South Pacific Programme Office (WWF SPPO) was established in 1990 to provide a base in the region to organise a strategic series of conservation field projects, policy reviews and campaigns in different Pacific Island countries. WWF South Pacific Programme's headquarters is in Suva, Fiji, with country offices in Fiji, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, as well as a project office in the Cook Islands.
